My Musical Journey

Ever since I was five years old and started taking piano lessons, music has been an enormous part of who I am. Teacher after teacher showed me not only the beauty of working hard but actually expanding musicianship to perform excellently and with heart. I have taken classical piano lessons through college, taken harp lessons from the age of nine through my senior year of high school, and been in several choirs since I was in elementary school (most notably the Greater Dallas Youth Chorus and the DBU Chorale). Singing became my passion in later high school and college, where I have performed three title roles (Suor Angelica, Guinevere, and Eliza Doolittle), along with performances with the New York Lyric Opera Summer Program (Despina) and the Miami Music Festival (Eva Delvignè). I have trained to sing classically, to sing jazz, and to sing musical theater and contemporary. I am thankful for every music teacher who has brought me to this point and for my wonderful parents who have supported me in everything I do.
